From Our First Delivery to Our Second

Not long ago, we were celebrating a huge milestone for MOODLE Prints and 3D Mobility: delivering our very first 3D printed Toddler Mobility Trainer.

Now, we’ve reached another.

Our second TMT has officially been completed and delivered to its new family.

Seeing another finished trainer leave the workshop is an incredible feeling. What starts as rolls of filament, nuts, bolts and wheels — along with hundreds of hours of printing — eventually becomes something with a much bigger purpose: a piece of mobility equipment made for a child to use and enjoy.

And this one certainly has plenty of personality.

Built to Stand Out

For our second TMT, we went bold.

Finished in bright orange with a Blackpool Football Club badge, this build is a brilliant example of something we love about 3D printing: mobility equipment doesn’t have to feel clinical or ordinary.

It can be colourful. It can be personal. And most importantly, it can feel like it belongs to the child using it.

Every TMT is made from more than 100 individual printed parts, each produced separately before being checked, assembled and brought together into the finished trainer. It takes hundreds of hours of printing, along with plenty of careful assembly and problem-solving along the way.

Seeing all of those individual orange pieces become the finished trainer pictured here made every hour worthwhile.

Delivery Day

There is something very different about seeing a TMT finished in the workshop and seeing it with the child it was built for.

Delivery day is the moment everything suddenly makes sense.

The printing, the late nights, the fails, the assembly, the adjustments and the seemingly endless collection of components all lead to this.

Seeing our second TMT with its new owner was another reminder of exactly why we started supporting the 3D Mobility project in the first place.

It isn’t really about what we can make with a 3D printer.

It’s about what that printing can make possible.

Learning With Every Build

The first TMT taught us a huge amount.

With the second, we’ve been able to take everything we learned from that original build and carry it forward — refining the process, becoming more familiar with the assembly and finding ways to make each future build even better.

That is one of the things we love most about this project.

Every trainer is another opportunity to learn.

Every completed build helps the next one.

And every delivery takes 3D Mobility another step forward.

Made Possible by Your Support

A Toddler Mobility Trainer costs approximately £390 to produce, with more than 100 printed pieces and hundreds of hours of printing involved in each build.

MOODLE Prints helps fund these builds through donations and the products we sell. Every donation and every order placed through our shop helps towards the cost of materials, components and electricity needed to keep these builds moving forward.

So when you buy a collectible, personalised gift or one of our other 3D printed creations, you’re helping us do more than simply make another product.

You’re helping us make projects like this possible.

And to everyone who has purchased from us, donated, shared what we’re doing, followed the project or contributed directly:

Thank you.

You helped us reach TMT number two.

Two Delivered. Number Three Is Already Underway.

The first delivery proved that this idea could become something real.

The second shows that it wasn’t a one-off.

And we’re already moving forward again.

We’ve just started printing Toddler Mobility Trainer number three.

That means the printers are running once more, another collection of individual parts is beginning to take shape, and we’re already working towards the next delivery day.

Every trainer teaches us something new, and with each build we’re able to take what we’ve learned and carry it into the next one.

Two TMTs have now been delivered.

Number three is officially in production.

And we’re already looking ahead to number four.

Help Us Make TMT Number Four Possible

While our printers are busy producing the parts for TMT number three, we’re already starting to raise the funds needed for the trainer that comes next.

Each Toddler Mobility Trainer requires more than 100 individual 3D printed parts, hundreds of hours of printing, and approximately £390 to cover materials, components and electricity.

That means we need your help to make TMT number four a reality.

There are a few different ways you can support us.

You can donate directly towards our future TMT builds, or support us by purchasing from MOODLE Prints. Every collectible, personalised gift or other 3D printed product you buy helps us keep the printers running and move another mobility trainer closer to completion.

And if you’re not able to donate or make a purchase, simply sharing our story helps too. The more people who see what we’re doing, the more chance we have of continuing to build these trainers for children who can benefit from them.

TMT #1 — Delivered.
TMT #2 — Delivered.
TMT #3 — Now printing.
TMT #4 — With your help, next.

We’re incredibly proud of how far this project has already come, and we can’t wait to see where it goes next.

One print at a time. One child at a time.
